Management summary Research study „Optimization of intermodal distribution network for polyolefins – The fifth phase of contract research study“

During the fifth stage of the contract research project (from February 2022 to November 2022), the Department of Logistics team analysed and mapped the actual state of elaboration, processing, management, flow and utilization of selected logistics documents within the distribution of selected chemical products (polyolefins). During the analysis, the tam worked with or collected primary data provided by ORLEN Unipetrol RPA company regarding the current setting of processes related to the elaboration, processing, flow and utilization of selected logistics documents. Based on the prioritization, the team identified the documents requiring in detail analysis from the perspective of data objects. These objects, their classification and analysis related to each and every relevant information systems by the company of its logistics service providers serve as the base for their standardized electronization and digitalization.
