This international accreditation attests to the high level of education, which is in compliance with demanding international requirements. Therefore, the MBA at the Faculty of Business Administration is on par with MBA programs in Western Europe. In addition, FBA has excellent relations with the private sector and works with highly talented students in the Honors Academia program.
Applicants may study several programs offered in English and Russian. In addition, classes in foreign languages are mandatory for students in all study branches, as well as programs offered in the Czech language.
Many students use the opportunity to participate in exchange programs with the FBA’s partner schools abroad, study at any foreign university as „free mover“ or to take part in international summer schools. The CEMS Master in International Management Program (CEMS MIM) is the FBA’s key postgraduate, pre-experience degree conducted in English. It is open to a select group of students enrolled in a Master’s program in one of 30 leading institutions offering postgraduate management studies worldwide. Within the program, the faculty cooperates with such top-class universities as the the University of St. Gallen, London School of Economics and Political Science, Università Bocconi, HEC Paris, ESADE Business School and the University of Sydney. The exclusiveness of the program is evidenced by the fact that only one business school per country may be a member, and its quality is thoroughly assessed.
The FBA is involved in a variety of research types, from basic to applied and contractual research.
As a School that has been orienting itself more towards research in recent years, we require our basic research to be published in economics, business, management, entrepreneurship and other field-specific journals, with a large preference for publication in high-quality journals. The FBA’s academics have recently published for example in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology, Regional Studies, Journal of Management Inquiry or Information Processing & Management. The FBA’s academics are engaged in many Czech and international research projects in the field of management and business. Currently, our activities include, for instance, projects by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic or the project Cultural Pathways to Economic Self-Sufficiency and Entrepreneurship: Family Values and Youth Unemployment in Europe (CUPESSE) by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Program.
FBA faculty take part in professional associations such as the Academy of Management, the European Academy of Management, the International Association of Applied Psychology, the Academy of International Business, the Project Management Institute and many others.
Quite a lot of the FBA academics also participate in contractual research and consulting projects for companies and other institutions. Among the FBA’s clients are many Czech SMEs, but also larger companies, such as Škoda Auto, Česká spořitelna, AXA or Seznam.
The FBA provides an executive MBA program accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
