Courses (MMEE)
The standard duration of the accredited PhD program Management and Managerial Economics is 4 years. Doctoral students follow an individual study plan prepared under the guidance of their supervisors at the beginning of their study.
First part of PhD studies consists mainly of passing successfully four courses in a given area of study. Students must in the first year of their study complete all the required courses.

Full-time PhD students must also attend the Course of Pedagogical Skills organized at the University of Economics in the first year.
From the second year of PhD. study, the focus is given on conducting own research under the supervison of appointed dissertation thesis supervisor, presenting at conferences, writing research papers and finally a dissertation. See section Study Requirements for more details.
