The MBA program at FBA is expanding. Its prestigious AMBA accreditation has been extended through 2029
The Faculty of Business Administration at the Prague University of Economics and Business has secured an extension of its prestigious AMBA international accreditation for its Executive MBA program through 2029. The program’s original three-year accreditation was extended by an additional two years after the faculty met stringent requirements regarding growth in the number of students and applicants.
George Iliev, MBA, Director of Accreditation at the Association of AMBA & BGA (Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association), announced the decision to the faculty leadership. The program has nearly doubled in size this academic year, largely due to growing interest from international students.
AMBA accreditation is one of the world’s most prestigious recognitions of MBA program quality. Thanks to this accreditation, the Faculty of Business Administration ranks among fewer than 300 top business schools worldwide, including the University of St. Gallen and HEC Paris. In the Czech Republic, the Faculty of Business Administration remains the only institution whose MBA program has earned this prestigious accreditation.
AMBA’s rigorous accreditation criteria assess not only the quality of teaching, but also the level of program management, research infrastructure, student career development, and graduate employability. The evaluation also includes interviews with faculty leadership, academic and administrative staff, students, alumni, and employers.
The new cohort of the program begins in September 2026. Twenty students were admitted in the first round of admissions. The second round of admissions is open until August 31, 2026, and the program will be filled to a maximum of 40 students. The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is an international accreditation body founded in 1967 in the United Kingdom that connects MBA students and graduates, accredited schools, and employers worldwide. AMBA accreditation is a global standard for all MBA, DBA, and master’s programs and currently accredits programs at the top 2% of business schools in more than 75 countries.
