FBA succeeded with two projects in the GAČR competition

The results of the main grant competitions of the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) were announced. The following two projects were successful for our faculty:

  • Why does a crow never sit next to a crow? Imperfect Selection of Cheaters into Cheating Environments (2023-2025)
    • Investigator Mgr. et Mgr. Ing. Štěpán Bahník, Ph.D. from the Department of Management
    • The project aims to investigate, using laboratory experiments, what social factors limit the selection of dishonest individuals into an environment that allows cheating.
  • Three Experiments on Using Salience for Sustainable Tax Compliance (2023-2025)
    • Investigator Ing. Matej Lorko, Ph.D. from the Department of Managerial Economics
    • The aim is to comprehensively explore the causal effects and disentangle the channels of action of several tax compliance interventions using two controlled laboratory experiments and one natural field experiment.

GAČR supports basic research across all scientific disciplines. It is the only organization of this type with this mission in the Czech Republic, and the awarding of its grants is considered a sign of quality scientific and research work.

Congratulations to both solvers and their teams!
