Evening Lecture: How to Build a Startup from the Beach


CEMS Students from CEMS Club Prague and David Chmelař from iPrice Group are organizing an evening lecture for all VŠE students on a topic “How to Build a Startup from the Beach”, which will be held on October 18, 2017 at 19:45 in RB209.

Are you interested in the turbulent world of startups, online and content marketing or intercultural team management? Join them for a one hour trip through Southeast Asia’s e-commerce sector and get insight into starting a company in a completely different environment.

Who is David Chmelař?

David went from a consultant at Boston Consulting Group to being the youngest member of the board at Wüstenrot Financial Group. Three years ago he decided to seek a new challenge and now he is the CEO of iPrice Group – a Kuala Lumpur based e-commerce affiliate network serving seven South-east Asian countries. Do you want to know more about his story? Save the date October 18, 2017. The lecture takes place at the University of Economics in Rajská Building in the room RB209 at 7:45 p.m.

The Master’s programme CEMS/International Managemet is taught at the Faculty of Business Administration. The CEMS Masters in International Management programme has been placed 9th in this year’s „Masters in Management Ranking 2017″, maintaining its place in the top 10 every year since the rankings began in 2005. It has also been ranked in 9th according to The Economis this year. The application deadline is by February 28, 2018.

The programme is run through a partnership of 30 leading business universities across four continents. VŠE has been a member of the CEMS Aliance for the past 19 years.
