Lab’s Mission

ERRL is VŠE’s Extended Realities Research Lab, a shared XR platform designed to support immersive research, teaching, and public-facing experimentation across the university. Its mission is to turn VR/XR from occasional showcase technology into usable academic infrastructure by giving students, researchers, and faculty a managed environment for testing scenarios, gathering interaction data, and developing new forms of learning and representation. In practice, ERRL is being built as a hub where immersive technologies can support interdisciplinary research, innovative pedagogy, and wider visibility of VŠE research outputs.

What ERRL does:

  • Supports immersive research by enabling experiments on behavior, perception, interaction, and decision-making in virtual environments.
  • Develops XR teaching capacity through interactive lecture formats, scenario-based learning, and prototype educational applications.
  • Builds and tests pilot use cases that show what kinds of studies, demos, and applied XR workflows the lab can realistically support.
  • Connects disciplines by supporting collaboration across business, psychology, technology, design, and related fields.
  • Hosts seminars and talks that showcase VR applications in research, teaching, and storytelling, helping grow internal capability and dialogue.
  • Expands the visibility and communication of VŠE research through immersive representation and outreach-oriented XR formats.
